'In a sense I have discovered myself in the Navy'

Ian joined the Royal Navy on 22nd March 2009

A friend suggested he should join because of his desire to help others and participate in humanitarian activities

He has had fives bases in seven years: RANS Culdrose in Cornwall, the RFA Argus and HMS Enterprise ships, RANS Yeovilton in Somerset and HMS Excellence in Portsmouth

He is a steward and has also qualified through the Navy as a logisitician specialising in hospitality
